I was so sorry to learn of Betty’s passing. I knew Betty from my time at the Child Guidance Center in Schenectady. At the Washington Irving Living Center, we shared the direction of leading a group of women who lacked parenting skills and were either abusive or neglecting of their children. She was one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate and inspiring people I have known. She gave value to those who thought they had none and taught them how to give to their children the caring and sustenance they had never before experienced. (I still have some of her wonderful recipes). I also knew Bob from my work with schools and know what a devoted couple they were. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Lora, Lisa, Mike, Matt and the entire family,
I have many fond memories of your mom/grandma. Thank you for always including me in your family events. Betty always made me smile and I thoroughly enjoyed every conversation I had with her, even when she only wanted to know "where's Ron"? LOL Good times, great lady, great family. Love you all!

I want to take a moment to say how sorry I am about the passing of Betty. I remember her quite well at St Paul's helping out with the Alter Guild, (doing our linens for many years). I also remember her at our Christmas Eve service with her children. She was a very nice lady and will miss her. God Bless to the family members

So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing . She will be missed in this neighborhood. I remember all the fun times we had Sunday night bowling and the picnics at your house over the years. She missed your Dad so and now will be united with him . You are in my prayers.

On behalf of both of us we wish to of the Family of Betty our thoughts and prayers. I was greatfull for the hours she spent doing our Altar linens, and helping out at the church for such programs as Summer Bible week servicing those peanut and banana sandwiches.

I was a student of your moms at Van Corlaer Jr. High school in 1958/1959. She was my Home Economics teacher. She was wonderful and obviously left a lasting impression. I still fall back on some of the lessons she taught. Sorry to learn of her passing she was a great teacher.
