Obituary of Roberta Stage

Roberta Ann "Bobbie" Stage passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2019 at her new home in Mayfield, NY. Bobbie was born in Sidney, NY on September 8, 1958 to Bob and Jackie Stage. She graduated from Sidney in 1976 as the Valedictorian and with honors in 1980 from Hartwick College. She then attended Albany Law School before marrying Mark Sampsen in 1981. She lived in Berne, NY, for many years before returning to Sidney to raise her daughter, Stephanie. She worked as the Office Manager at The Cullman Center in Sidney for several years, and more recently, at COMM Innovations in Oneonta, NY, again as the Office Manager. Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Ann Sampsen; sisters Lyn Winston of Oneonta and Karen (Mike) Jones of Franklin, and brother Larry (Danette) Stage of Sidney, and special furbaby Mia. She was predeceased by her parents and daughter Jennifer Lee Sampsen. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1 pm at the Red Door Presbyterian Church, 2 Walling Ave, Oneonta, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Walton-Leavitt, and followed by a reception in the church social hall. There will be no separate calling hours.
