Obituary of Ronald S. Slingerland

Ronald S. Slingerland, 58, of Schenectady, NY, passed away on December 31st, 2018 at his home after an extended illness. He was born in Albany, NY, on October 4th, 1960, son of the late James S. Slingerland and Delores A. Curro. He is survived by his loving partner of 10 years, Roger Kisko and their puppies, Truman and Bubba. He is also survived by his siblings; Laura Casey (Bill), Kenneth Slingerland (Doreen), Scott Slingerland (Lindy), Joel Curro (Faye), Jeffrey Curro, James Slingerland and William Slingerland. Ron is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his sister, Traci Slingerland Lee, his brother-in-law, Ricky Lee, his brother, Michael S. Slingerland and his nephew, Ryan Slingerland and step-father, Joseph J. Curro. Ron graduated from Berne-Knox-Westerlo in 1979 and worked at the State Offices of Tax and Finance and Newkirk Products in Albany and Experience in Schenectady as a decorator. He had many artistic talents including gardening, painting, cooking and baking, stitching and loved to go antiquing and treasure hunting! He loved music and was always singing something! He was very selfless, always helping others in many ways and had a great, unique sense of humor! A memorial gathering will be held from 3-6 PM on Sunday, January 6th, at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main St., in Altamont, NY 12009 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ronald S.
