Obituary of Barbara T. Lenhardt

Princetown- Barbara T. Lenhardt,95, transitioned peacefully in her home surrounded by family, caregivers and friends. She was born on Nov. 18,1922 the daughter of Weston C. and Margaret (nee Jewett) Thayer in Northampton MA. She was predeceased by her husband Frank and her sister Jean Ashton. She is survived by her children Thomas W. Lenhardt, Linda Lenhardt Keach (Neal) and Lisa M.L. Mastrean (Mark). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barbara graduated the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She obtained her bachelors degree in Psychology. She was an active member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, crosswords, gardening and bowling. Barbara grew up on Westfield Farm in Groton, MA. She retained a great love for her childhood on the farm and for the town of Groton. A calling hour will be from12:30-1:30pm on Monday July 2,2018 at Fredendall Funeral Home,199 Main Street Altamont, NY 12009. A funeral service will follow at 1:30pm . Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam, NY In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the SPCA of Upstate NY,588 Queensbury Ave. Queensbury NY 12804.
