Obituary of Lois P Van Buren
Albany- Lois P. Van Buren, 81 formally of Knox passed away, Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Teresian House. She was called home to be with the Lord after a lifelong battle with health issues.
She was born in Seward, NY on February 25, 1936 to the late Rev. Russell B. and Ruth Greene of Central Bridge, NY.
She is survived by her brother Rev. Russell Greene, David R. Greene; special nieces and nephews Robert, John, Chuck, Steve, Jim, Patricia, Kenneth, Gordon, Katherine, Harold; many other nieces and nephews as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and the Van Buren family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Jesse; her sister R. Esther Conklin; her special nephew Tom; and her cat Fluffy.
The family would like to acknowledge the employees and friends of the Teresian House where she was loved and cared for twenty-one years as well as all those who took the time to visit and show their love and support to her. A memorial service will be held at the Teresian House at a later date.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, Altamont from 4-7PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11AM at the Helderberg Lutheran Church, Berne, NY with interment to follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.
