Obituary of Esther May Adams
Altamont- Esther May Adams passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at The Grand of Guilderland. She was 94. She was born on September 27, 1922 to William and Eva (nee Robare) Kehoe.
She is survived by her children Gary (Linda), Larry (Kathy), Nancy (Daniel) Chesnut, David (Cindy) and George (Erin); grandmother of 15; great grandmother of 16; many nieces and nephews; her dear friend Anne Wetmore.
She was predeceased by her husband Noble in 1996; her grandson Dennis Chesnut; her daughter-in-law Cecelia Adams; her sisters Dorothy Chenevert and Martha Monnette.
Esther was employed at several jobs throughout her life including GE in Schenectady, waitressing, a nurse's aide at Guilderland Center Nursing Home and she also took in laundry for people. She was a member of the Altamont Seniors and St. Lucy / St. Bernadette Church.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 5-8Pm at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, Altamont. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11Am at St. Lucy / St. Bernadette Catholic Church 109 Grand Street, Altamont, NY. Interment will be at Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam following the service.
