I am stunned to read about the passing of Dr. Flanders. I found him after having some unpleasant experiences with a few endodontists. He was superb not only in his technical skill but in his interpersonal relations. He was so patient, listened carefully, was reassuring, and always had a successful and pain-free outcome to the procedure. We have truly lost a gifted practitioner. I am very saddened to hear that he succumbed to cancer although I imagine he faced the illness and discomfort with grace. My heartfelt condolences to Michelle and Teresa, who I knew from the practice, and to all of the members of his family. You were truly blessed to have him in your lives.
Thank you and God Bless You, Dr. Flanders - you were wonderful!

My dentist at the time, Dr. Herb Emmons, referred me to Dr. Flanders for part of the repair work when I lost 4 of my incisors to an accident in 2000. Herb knows the best in the business - Dr. Flanders was terrific. It helped so much to have such excellent and caring professionals put my mouth back together.
Dr. Flanders plainly got a lot out of life. I'm so sorry to read of his death. My condolences to his friends and family.

To the Flanders and Cushman families.
Beth and I are deeply saddened by the loss of our good friend Dan. We take comfort knowing that he is in a better place, free of pain. We are thankful for the many good times we shared "on the town" or at your beautiful home.
Dan and I first flew on March 12, 1975. He was a sharp student and made my job easy.
Years later we switched seats and he taught me float flying in "Delta Fox." Loved every minute of it. He was the consummate "Pro" in everything he did. I was proud to be a
friend for 42 years.
May you always Travel with Angels

Dr. Flanders was truly a lovely man: a skilled practitioner and a warm, kind person. I spent quite a bit of time in that chair over the years and I always knew I was in the best of hands. I was startled--and very touched--the first time I got a call from him the evening following a procedure just to inquire how I was doing. I never knew a medical professional so empathic.
My thoughts are with all his family and friends as you deal with this loss. Michelle, my heart aches for you.

Dan will be remembered as a man of unusual grace and character. He was interested in the people he met and was eager to share his experiences in fishing and traveling. I enjoyed talking with him every time we met. I was always impressed with his dedication to the best care for his patients and to gaining the trust of his colleagues with his excellent skills. We have lost a dedicated professional and a fine man.

It is with sadness that I learned of the passing of Dr. Flanders. I met him shortly after I bought a practice in Schenectady in 1988. Dan was not only an outstanding clinician but a lovely person. He always made one feel as if you were his friend. The last time I spoke to him at the Study Club he was explaining how one navigates across Africa in a plane. He spoke of retiring to Canada but said he still enjoys his office and practice..
Dan accomplished more in his life than most people ever will.
I extend my sincerest condolences to Michelle and his family.

The light of Dan's inspiration and energy will live on. Having had the pleasure of working with, fishing with and knowing the man for many years is an honor. I will not forget all that he and Michelle generously provided as a junior associate in the practice. Dan was a gentle, forgiving soul, I cannot recall a discouraging or disparaging word from the gentleman. We will miss you dearly Dan, I am so saddened by your untimely passing.
