Obituary of Phyllis Jean Purcell

East Berne- Phyllis Jean Purcell of East Berne, NY, passed away in peace at Albany Medical Center on March 7, 2017 at the age of 90. She was born in Albany, NY on August 7, 1926. She was the daughter of the later Earl David and Bertha Krichbaum Bailie. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Purcell. Phyllis graduated from Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She worked as a nurse at Albany Medical Center for most of her career. She was a faithful member of the Helderberg Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Colleen Schrefer, Joseph, Timothy, Patricia Todd, and Daniel; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Helderberg Lutheran Church, Berne, NY on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
