Obituary of Glen D. Carl

Slingerlands – Glen D. Carl of New Scotland, NY passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home. Glen is the son of the late Dewitt and Hazel Carl of New Salem, NY. Glen is survived by his son, Justin M. Carl of Poughkeepsie, NY, and his sister Pauline Grippin (Gerald) of Delmar, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents Glen is predeceased by his sister Arlene Lendrum (Harold), and his brother Frederick Carl (Sandra). Glen graduated from Voorheesville High School. He worked for many years at New Salem Garage in New Salem. Glen was a member of New Salem Fire Department for over 30 years. He was very proud of his service to the community and enjoyed working at the Punkintown Fair each year. Glen enjoyed listening to music and watching television. A graveside service and interment will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 3:00 PMin South Berne Rural Cemetery, Watertrough Road, Berne, NY In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glen's memory to the South Berne Cemetery , %Deborah Stalker, 266 Lake Road, Berne, NY 12023; or to New Salem Volunteer Fire Department, 694 New Salem Road, Voorheesville, NY 12186.
