I am so sorry to hear of Hacks passing. We spent much time together playing basketball at Sennings garage across from Grams and Gramp Meilinger’s with Mark & Bob Taylor when we were in our early teens. We also enjoyed time at Browns Beach with his sister,Debbie and Don’s mother. I will also remember when Don’s mother took us to the Mohawk Drive In by going over what is now Route 155 before it was officially opened. It certainly was a short cut at the time. They certainly made me feel as part of the family as they did for numerous friends of the Hackel and Meilinger family. We continued our relationship through high school playing basketball and being fraternity brothers in Sigma Kappa Delta. RIP brother Don, I will always remember and never forget our time together.
