Obituary of Raymond J. Wilson

Raymond J. Wilson, 86, of Altamont passed away on December 28, 2020 at his home surrounded by those he loved. Ray was born in Mariaville, New York on August 3, 1934, the son of Lester and Ida (Jump) Wilson. He graduated Cobleskill High School and subsequently enlisted in the US Army serving in Korea and Japan.

Ray graduated from Royal Barber School and had a barbershop at Osborne Corners for 35 years. He was a member of VFW Hilderbrand Davis Post 1895.  

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Andrew (Emma) and Leroy (Barbara); His sister is Mabel (Leonard) and Lily.

Ray is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anna; his sons Dave (Anne), Joe (Janet), Ed and daughter Nancy (Blair).  Ray is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and dear friends.

A graveside service will be planned for the spring.
