Obituary of Yena Frank
Yena Frank
(August 12, 1952 - September 1, 2019)
Rochester NY
Yena was ushered into heaven while loved ones gathered around her bedside singing, “We are standing on holy ground, and I know that there are angels all around”.
She was born in Denmark where she spent her early years prior to coming to America. She happily spent several years in Japan with her Military Stepfather. As an adult she lived in Rhode Island for many years before flying to upstate New York where she was saved, delivered and set free in 1984. She lived several years in Jerusalem before returning to upstate NY where she resided until her death.
Yena was predeceased by her son, Michael John Riley II, in 1975. She is survived by two daughters; Allison Frank and Jamie Riley (Billy Weaver), as well as grandchildren; Emilio Riley, Sequoya Weaver, Tre Weaver, Sydney Barr, Donte Weaver and Yolonda Weaver. She is also survived by many siblings and relatives on both sides of her family.
Yena was known for her strong faith in God. She loved worshiping her Father in Heaven. Her passion for worship led her to often carry her guitar to minister spontaneously. She loved meeting new people and making friends. She LOVED storms… thunder, rain, sleet, snow, & most of all blizzards. A perpetually gray sky filled her with immense joy.
Yena loved traveling to foreign countries to minister to others the love of the Lord she had experienced. Several countries Yena ministered in include Israel, Germany, Albania, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.
Yena’s Messianic Jewish burial was officiated by Rabbi-Pastor Jay Francis. Celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Beaver Dam Cemetery, Berne NY with lightning, quick heavy rain showers and bright sunlight!
